The world is more porous than it appears
New Nostalgia is a San Francisco based experiential design studio exploring perception, consciousness, light, and human connection.
As we face immense digital saturation, people crave authentic, in-person human experiences. We help bridge the gap and translate ethos into the physical, transforming spaces into beautifully built environments.
As a diverse group of ex-tech workers with backgrounds in design, engineering, and production, we’re a boutique in-house creative studio that turns wild ideas into reality. We specialize in creating customized, intentional, and highly crafted experiences with teams and brands.

Our Values
As machines take on more of our labor, we see our job as filling the time that frees up, helping the disillusioned find meaning again.
Drawing inspiration from 60s hippie modernism, esoteric spirituality, and underground club culture, we’re interested in designing experiences that provide people a reference point for transcendence. We view our work as bridges from physical reality into the ultimate Reality — moments to spark meaning, hope, beauty, grace, and creativity.
We are a research-based practice, with a deep interest in perceptual science and our biological response to light and sound, down to the biophotons our cells emit to communicate, heal, and stay in balance.
At the quantum level, all matter is energy in motion — vibrating, pulsating, transmitting. Sound, heat, light, your heartbeat, your thoughts are all frequencies broadcast into the world, interacting in harmony or dissonance with everything around you. The boundary between you and the world is more porous than it appears.
